Ibasho

Applying the tcm (Traditional Chinese Medicine) approach to British produce

I was reading through some food guides, and seeing an amazing amount of information about specific foods that have certain properties and effects on the body. This all started because today England has been f'ing roasting !!! I was looking for some cooling meals that I could make.

Consequentially, I think a cool side project that I could do is building a little seasonal index of firstly ingredients (so I can stay cool during summer !!) and then actually making something tasty with those ingredients.

I will start by taking inventory at my local farm and a shop that I frequent, to see what ingredients that I actually need to analyse. Then I will make some recipes and put them on my weekly rotation for summer !

I am excited to share some pictures and recipes when I have some tasty food nailed.

How does this tie into Ibasho ? Well, I am going to have to follow the exact same process when I get to Japan and I see what I have to work with ! I am really convinced that tcm is a great framework to work with for making wholesome food and thus a wholesome life, and I want to grow more familiar with it.
